Beaches on and near Marco Island: what's there, where to park and what to know before you go.
Tigertail Beach Park
A county beach park with a groomed beach on one side of a lagoon and, just across it, a wild stretch of tidal pools and native wildlife. Look for birds, and for shells scattered across the sand. Parts of the park are protected wildlife habitat, so keep out of any posted areas.

Restrooms, Playground, Picnic areas, Concessions and rentals: closed until further notice (county listing, October 2026)
Parking Info
$10 to park without a Collier County resident beach parking permit. Open daily, 6 a.m. to sunset.
Family Notes
The county lists it as family friendly, with a playground. No dogs.
South Marco Beach
A county beach access at 930 S. Collier Blvd. and a popular swim spot, with white sand for shelling and sunning and foot-washing stations at the access points.

Restrooms (on Swallow Avenue), Foot-washing stations
Parking Info
Parking is on Swallow Avenue, a short walk across S. Collier Blvd. $10 without a Collier County resident beach parking permit. Open daily, 8 a.m. to sunset.
Family Notes
A classic family beach day: shelling, sunning and swimming. No dogs.
Residents' Beach
A members-only beach run by the Marco Island Civic Association. People who own improved property on Marco Island, or rent here for at least a year, may be eligible to join its Beach Club.

Paradise Grill, Restrooms and showers, Picnic chickees with charcoal grills, Playground, Beach wheelchairs
Parking Info
Beach parking for members. Members must carry or wear their Beach Club ID.
Family Notes
Members and their families get the playground and picnic chickees, and the club holds family-friendly concerts and events.
Keewaydin Island
One of southwest Florida's largest unbridged barrier islands, reachable only by boat. The Gulf side is known for shelling.
Amenities
None: there are no facilities on the island
Parking Info
No car access. Come by boat, or take the Hemingway Water Shuttle from Rose Marina on Marco Island, about 30 to 40 minutes each way.
Family Notes
Pack everything you need for the day. Local vendors often sell food and drinks, but they are not there every day. From March through August, access to parts of the island is restricted for nesting shorebirds.
